In the home life, it is inevitable that some faucets will leak or be broken. This requires repairing the faucet. It is best to find professional maintenance personnel directly, but it will make up a small repair cost. Summarize the faucet repair method skills, share it for everyone to learn:

Faucet repair process:

Determine the cause of faucet maintenance - prepare repair tools - close the sluice gate - repair or replace the faucet - re-install - open the sluice test - clean up the site

Faucet repair tools:

Screwdriver, adjustable wrench, waterproof tape, etc.

Faucet common problems and maintenance methods:

1: The tap is out of the water fork or the amount of water is reduced, no bubbles

Possible causes: Blockage of the bubbler filter or debris such as dirt and scale

Solution: Remove the faucet and clean the filter

2: The shower has a small amount of water, and the water fork

Possible causes: Water pressure is too low or there is debris or scale accumulation in the shower head

Solution: Remove the shower head and remove the rubber gasket with filter from the shower inlet or clean the shower head to clean it.

3: The body is noisy when the faucet

Possible causes: The water pressure is too high; the faucet handle is rapidly closed; the hot and cold water pipes are not fixed properly; there are obstructions or scales in the inlet pipe.

Solution: Reduce the water supply pressure, avoid the rapid closure of the faucet to re-construct, clean the pipeline, check the water pipes and connected objects (such as water purifiers, water heaters) for poor contact.

4: Temperature adjustment is not easy and water temperature often changes

Possible causes: The pressure difference between hot and cold water is too large, or the water heater increases the water temperature for too long.

Solution: Reduce the pressure of the hot and cold triangle valve to ensure that the water temperature of the water heater can keep up with the water output speed.

Hot and cold water faucet repair:

1. If the hot and cold water faucet is controlled by a total water inlet valve, close the main valve. When the hot and cold inlet pipes are separated, close the two corresponding valves.

2, use a flat-blade screwdriver to open the accessories "01 hot and cold standard (handle fixed screw hole plug)";

3, use a flat-blade screwdriver to extend into the handle to fix the screw hole plug (cold hot mark hole), counterclockwise (left-handed) screwdriver about 3 turns;

4. Grasp the handle of the faucet with your left hand and pull it upwards. At the same time, use the rear end handle of the screwdriver (must be non-metallic material, otherwise it will damage the outer surface of the faucet), so that the accessory “02 water outlet handle” is separated;

5. Counterclockwise (left-handed) fitting "03 end cap", the end cap is separated from the main body;

6. Place the top of the adjustable wrench in the hexagonal position of the “04 core tightening hex sleeve” of the fitting, adjust the opening size of the adjustable wrench, rotate counterclockwise, remove the ceramic valve core to check, if it is good, clockwise (right-handed), tight Fix the strength; if it is damaged, replace the new valve core.

7. Replace the accessories “03 end cover”, “02 water outlet handle” and “01 hot and cold standard” (note that red represents hot water side and blue color represents cold water side).

Push-type faucet repair:

1. Remove the handle and look at the parts of the faucet. Use a large pliers or adjustable wrench to remove the packing nut, taking care not to leave scratches on the metal. Rotate the spool or shaft in the same direction as when you turned the faucet to unscrew them.

2. Remove the screws that secure the washer. If necessary, use an infiltration lubricant to loosen the screws. Check the screws and spools and replace them if they are damaged.

3. Turn off the water supply and remove the small screws on the back or behind the faucet handle to remove the handle that is attached to the faucet body. Some screws are hidden under metal buttons, plastic buttons or plastic sheets that are snapped or screwed into the handle. Just open the button and you will see the handle screw on the top. If necessary, use some osmotic oil like WD-40 to loosen the screws.

4. Replace the old gasket with a new one that is identical. New gaskets that are almost perfectly matched to the old gaskets generally allow the faucet to no longer drip. Also note that the old gasket is either beveled or flat and replaced with the same new gasket. A gasket designed only for cold water will swell significantly when hot water flows to block the water outlet, making the hot water flow slower. Some washers work in hot and cold water, but make sure that the gasket you bought for replacement is exactly the same.

5. Secure the new gasket to the valve plug and reassemble the parts in the faucet. Rotate the spool clockwise. After the spool is in place, reinstall the packing nut. Be careful not to leave the wrench scratched on the metal.

6. Reinstall the handle and replace the button or disc. Re-open the water supply and check for leaks.
